Olympus Industrial i-SPEED High Speed, High Quality Imaging Systems
The very latest in High Speed Camera technology is now available from Olympus Industrial.
High Speed Video (HSV) is a field of technology used to analyze motion by providing a slow motion view of high speed events.
Included below are sample high speed video clips recorded with Olympus i-SPEED:
Ball dropping into a coffee cup, filmed with the i-SPEED camera
Lighter sparked in a glass, filmed with the i-SPEED camera
Water balloon hit by a nail, filmed with the i-SPEED camera
The i-SPEED camera system can be operated by almost anyone - just power on and it is immediately ready to start capturing your high speed events. No longer do users have to wait for the PC to power up - connection to the RCP (Remote Control Pad) or Olympus CDU (Camera Display Unit) allows full control of all camera functions. Immediate data analysis is possible to allow decision making at the source, making measurements on images that are synchronized to other data events with a live graphical display.
To minimize data storage overheads you can instantly edit the video footage.
No PC is required to operate the camera but image files can be transfered via flash card or Ethernet link. The Olympus i-SPEED software supplied as standard has been designed specifically for the camera with ease of use in mind, but includes many industry-unique features.
*Automatic tracking - find a feature and let the software track it for you
Strip View helps you understand the relationship of time in your video and user data
*Real time, on-screen graphical display of position, distance and velocity. With the ability to export data to a spreadsheet or notepad
*Upgrade software options
The design concept of i-SPEED was to develop a system with portability, functionality and ease of use at the forefront of its specification. For use with either the remote control pad, controller display unit or PC, Olympus has developed a product for general and advanced users alike.
