In many applications, video is now an integral part of the RVI system, enabling high quality visual images to be displayed on a monitor and recorded for future reference.  To do this, a number of adaptors are available to connect the eyepiece of a rigid borescope or flexible fiberscope to a standard CCTV camera.  These adaptors have a standard C-mount lens fitting, making them both versatile and ideal for endoscopic use.

The scope diameter and camera CCD size determine the on-screen image magnification.  This can be selected to the user’s requirements – either to provide a video image of the entire field of view or an enlarged view of the central area for detailed analysis.
